The mystery Provider photographed at Wendover, UT on 19 May 2005 by Jeff Miller. It is painted as N709RR, but that's only to make it look like the star of the movie, which this airframe stood in for. The data plate showed that this is actually msn 20245, ex 56-4361. Some of the modifications done to this aircraft are visible under the nose. It's good to see that this aircraft is still in a fairly nice condition, with only the rudder, props and main gear doors missing. However, that's only on the outside. The cockpit has been ripped to shreds, with just about everything having been removed from it. Photo copyright Jeff Miller. |
