March 1987: Arrival of N75T at the Colegio De La Salle - Bogotá

Shown here are some old photos of DC-3 N75T, still in its old colours, being towed from Base Aérea de Madrid (west of Bogotá) to the Colegio De La Salle in the northern suburbs of the city in March 1987. The last few photos show the aircraft safely in position at its new home at the school.

The journey was a long one (about 40 kms), over some very narrow, challenging roads. But it was uneventful, and in the end the aircraft arrived at the school safely. There the wings were re-attached, and the DC-3 was lifted onto the three poles.
